# [How we compare](https://rebilder.com/compare)

> Compare the tools you are considering by what they help you do. Rebilder focuses on the information assistants find on your website; these comparisons explain how that fits alongside other approaches to AI visibility.

- **Description:** How Rebilder compares with the tools you are weighing. Visibility tools tell you where you are not mentioned, and we fix what the agent finds when it arrives.
- **Organization:** Rebilder

## Disclosures

Company names and marks identify the products we compare against. All trademarks belong to their owners, no affiliation or endorsement is implied, and we remove a mark on its owner’s request.

A mention sends an agent to your site, and what it can read when it gets there decides whether the answer names your price, your stock and your policy, or stops at your name.

Visibility tools tell you where you are not mentioned, and we fix what the agent finds when it arrives.

The scanner is public, free and takes any URL: ours, theirs, yours. Every check shows its evidence, and the result permalink is yours to share. Anything we print about a named site carries its scan date and a rerun link, and the index at /readable stays strictly opt-in.

## The alternatives

**CrowdReply**

AI search visibility tracking, plus paid placement in the sources models cite

What it is: Tracks whether AI models mention you, then buys you a place in the sources they quote. It never touches your own site, which is the half we do.

When to buy it instead: If your site is already readable and your real problem is that nobody names you, then you need presence in third-party sources and that is not something we sell. Buy them, and come to us when the traffic they earn arrives at a page an agent cannot parse.

**Cloudflare markdown conversion**

Edge conversion of your HTML to markdown, triggered by a request header

What it is: Converts a page to markdown at the edge when the request asks for it by header. The catch is which requests actually ask.

When to buy it instead: If your traffic comes from clients that send `Accept: text/markdown` and you want no moving parts, turn it on and you are done. It also composes with us rather than competing, so there is no reason to switch it off.

**Writing an llms.txt yourself**

A hand-written file listing what your site contains

What it is: A good idea and a real standard, and it describes your site rather than answering a request for a page.

When to buy it instead: On a small site whose content barely moves, a file you wrote yourself may be all you need, and our generator will write the first draft of it for free.
