Verify or remove your domain

The only way a domain gets named is verified domain-owner opt-in. Removal uses the same record, is free, and is permanent.

I can’t edit DNS records: request removal anyway

An unverified request still works: it triggers suppression pending review, because a person exercising erasure against a personal-name domain cannot be made to prove DNS control first. The suppression takes effect immediately.

How this works

One record, both directions

The TXT record that verifies your domain in is the same record that removes it. Publish it once, then choose verify or remove.

Why DNS, and not a meta tag

A TXT record proves control of the domain rather than control of one page. A meta tag on a single URL is satisfiable by anyone who can publish one file to a subpath.

No account, no payment, ever

Verification is about who controls the domain and nothing else. Listing is not for sale, and neither is removal.

What gets published

Only scans taken from a third-party vantage, meaning the public scanner and the index crawler. Nothing derived from an authenticated, merchant-sourced, or locally-run scan is ever published, whatever its score.
